Jades Emeralds and Rubies
I love these necklaces by Jade Jagger! She has such an eye for colour and really knows how to bring the best out in a gem, she also shares my love of Indian design. One day I hope to own quite a few of her pieces!
Emeralds and rubies make such a good team.
The colours, the design, the love! I would love one of these xx
Kate Moss rocks Jade's emerald and rubies!

Claire's Tiffany Engagement Ring and Her Engagement Story
Claire is an Irish girl I met here in Dubai, her love story is one of those new fairy tales.
After having her heart broken by a long term boyfriend, she flew to Abu Dhabi to visit her friend Shauna, who was here with her fiancee. Shauna's fiancee Dave lived with an Englishman named Mark and when Mark and Claire met it was love at first sight! So, Claire moved out to Abu Dhabi to explore her relationship with her charming Englishman. Things went well and it did not take Mark long (just six months in fact) to realise that he had met the love of his life, the one.
This is their engagement story in Claire's words:
"We'd only been together about 6 months, he booked a surprise night away in Qasr Al Sarab hotel. The ring was in the boot of the car the whole way there but obviously I had no idea. We had a nice chilled day and had booked a meal in a posh restaurant there...then it started going wrong...we got to the restaurant and I decided I didn't like anything on the menu so we ended up eating in the buffet restaurant (not very romantic ha) plus it was a dry night so no wine. Mark got called out at one point although I had no idea what for. Turns out he had asked them to bring the ring to our balcony with a bottle of champagne and some flowers so it would be waiting for us when we got back from dinner...but they couldn't find it so had to call him out...he made up something about his credit card which I didn't question. Dinner finished pretty quickly so Mark was worried they wouldn't have everything ready in time. Anyway we went back to the room and I suggested we go on to the balcony to take a photo, playing right in to his plan and that's when I saw the Tiffany box sitting on the table...the rest is history :-)"
What a lovely story!

What a lovely story!
Claire's Tiffany classic round cut engagement ring - simply beautiful x
For me the story behind a piece of jewellery is so wonderful and adds so much to the beautiful gemstone.
A Gift from Vienna
My boyfriend's parents recently took a romantic trip to Vienna. Lynn, his Mum, told me how they took long romantic strolls along the beautiful streets in between eating delicious food. On one of their wonders they passed an antique jewellery shop, tucked away down a little side street. In the window Brian spotted a dazzling ruby and diamond bracelet, so persuaded Lynn to go in and try it on (how lovely). As well as the ruby and diamond bracelet there was also a sapphire version and an emerald version. Lynn fell for the emerald and diamond bracelet.
It is a 1950's design and I can imagine a very elegant 1950's lady wearing it to the opera or ballet with perhaps a wonderful couture Dior dress on?
Look at the colour of those emeralds!
What's wonderful about this stunning bracelet is that I can see it being worn with smart jeans or trousers and a casual top, just as much as I can see it with a ball gown. I told Lynn that she will now need to go and get a pair of matching earrings xx

Fay's Love Rings
Fay is a friend of mine who is beautiful, feisty, caring, real and just lots of fun. She is a London girl at heart and this is where she met her handsome Ozzie husband. They lived a funky, London life on Brick Lane and made the most of life together, where they fell madly and very deeply in love (I say this beacuse their love is one of those you know is genuine and 100% reciprocated either side).
Four years into their wonderful relationship he popped the question with a fun and thoughtful propsal... Fay woke up on her birthday and was given a series of clues to her birthday present, each clue led to another until she opened up a little draw and in there were the words "marry me". Fay turned round to find her beau on his knee with a beautiful ring in hand! They are living happily ever after!!

What a beautiful engagement ring, for a very beautiful girl x
The happy couple married in Fay's home country of Cyprus and then carried on their married lives in Dubai.
On their first wedding anniversary, Fay received the most beautiful and special rings ever, a pear shaped emerald surrounded by diamonds! I adore this ring, what a lucky girl!

A Glimpse at Bvlgari
As I was flicking through the online pages of a paper the other day, I spied a story on a Bvlgari party in LA. I just had to share the pictures with you!
Bvlgari is one of my favorite high end brands, as I LOVE their use of colour and decadence. Drew's necklace is just stunning and for me really represents everything that Bvlgari is!
This is Kate Walsh in another Bvlgari design, again beautiful colours, with a decadent yest classic and elegant design - simply divine! Sorry I couldn't get a close up xx
Antonia's Beautiful Creations
I met Antonia about 6 months ago and the first thing I noticed about her (apart from her very pretty face and brilliant smile) were her beautiful earrings, necklace and bracelet, it turned out that she shares my love of jewellery and gemstones. After talking for a little while it emerged that the strings of pearls and corals hanging beautifully around her neck and sitting so prettily on her wrists were her own designs! She is very good at mixing and matching.
Antonia is one one of those girls who always looks fabulous and certainly has her own style. She is very much an English rose, with blonde hair, blue eyes and soft rosy cheeks - her jewellery is a reflection of her. She travels to India and Turkey, as well as places in Dubai to buy her gems and trinkets and then in her spare time makes such pretty and wearable jewellery.
Yesterday we went to a clothes swap party where Antonia sold her designs - they were so popular, with girls fighting over the various pieces to accentuate their very pretty outfits.

The range in colour and design means that the hippy, the Chelsea girl and the glamour pusses of Dubai would all find something to love and wear.
I love the corals and pearls, the most! However, the greys mixed with the vibrant colours are just so gorgeous!
I bought a coral necklace with little gold trinkets on it from Turkey, my favorite of the trinkets was a shell. Vikki decided that she had chosen the best pieces there : )
Vikki's necklaces also have little trinkets on that Antonia found while on holiday in Istanbul. I love how Antonia has mixed her pretty and delicate coloured beads with statement pendants.
Which one would you buy?
The ruby and turquoise beaded necklace on the far left was one of my favorites, it also has a row of pearls, what a fabulous mix!
Pearls and golds and corals and a hint of turquoise - divine! xx

Precious Little Rocks
Just wanted to share some of my precious little rocks, which my Mum bought for me when she was here visiting me in Dubai, they are so special to me that they are my cover photo for my blog.
We went to the Ripe market, in Al Quoz, where I spied the earrings and matching bracelet, I fell in love and Mum treated me. The Dubai based designers buy their gems from Thailand and then have them made out there, they have lots of very pretty pieces. I love the mix of gems, I also love how they are raw and beautiful just on their own without being dressed up.

The blue heart pendant is a little gem that I found in when I was in South Africa, so pretty xx

Angelina and Her Emeralds
With a face as beautiful as Angelina Jolie's it must be difficult to get jewellery that stands out from what is already so stunning. Angelina's gemstone of choice seems to be Emeralds! They have a potent display of colour, which is so captivating that you are drawn to them instantly.
Exquisite and oh so beautiful, Angelina is merely a model for the real beauty in this picture.
Look how her emerald earrings and ring jump out at you and demand your attention. I feel that emeralds are perfect for Angelina's personality and style.
Blake Lively, with her love of statement earrings, seems to appreciate the delight of emerald earrings!
Blake Lively Shares my Love of Turquoise Earrings
Not so long ago, I wrote about my love of turquoise. Well I especially love turquoise earrings and how they pop out and make your outfit look that little more fun and exotic. It would seem that the gorgeous Blake Lively also shares my love of turquoise earrings, see below.......
What a BEAUTIFUL and individual look, love, love, love!
See how they stand out and add some much to the dress. These precious little rocks make this outfit!
They look like rough turquoise surrounded by diamonds, how divine. They even steal the diamonds show, however, the diamonds add such elegance to the earrings, don't you think?
Another love of mine is coral and here Blake has a perfect mixture of the two xx
Beautiful, need I say more x
Here's me with my beloved pair. Red and Turquoise is also a dreamy match!
Anna Karenina's Pearls
I saw this picture yesterday of a rather gorgeous Keira Knightley in her role as Anna Karenina. What struck me the most was her jewellery. Those pearls around her neck are truly wonderful, the earrings with their beautiful design and the pearls daintily hanging by her neck are exquisite.
When I was a little girl, I was obsessed with dressing up like "an olden days lady", now it is the antique jewellery that strikes me.

Vikki's Unique and Elegant Pieces - Just Like Her
My very beautiful and 'has something very special about her' friend Vikki always has on the same few pieces of jewellery - her signature pieces, which she will then add to now and again. They are so unique and feminine and so very her I wanted to share them with you.
I love how they all work so well together and show aspects of her very lovely and strong personality.
This ring she left behind in a ladies loo one day and she was so concerned that it wouldn't be there when she got back but it was there, waiting for her! It is one ring made up on many little silver rings overlapping each other. I really feel this ring represents her personality as it is feminine, dainty, interesting, unique and has many aspects to it, I imagine it is also very tough.
These are her bracelets. I love the two silver bangles and how they work so well together, I love bangles! The pearl bracelet, she received as a friendship bracelet and has never taken it off! The green beaded bracelet she got in Bali, the beautiful green beads are resin but do look so like Jade.
A Little Chrsitmas Shopping with Victoria in Dubai
Dubai is a jewellery paradise, especially when it comes to Turkish and Indian jewellery. Victoria and I pooped to the souk yesterday to find something for her sister's Christmas present... ah such a lovely way to spend a lunch time. Those lucky girls at home xx
Beads, silk, gold, turquoise and more - bracelets!
Perfect stocking fillers or Secret Santa's.
Look at all these gorgeous rings!!

Do you like my Polish earrings?
Do you like my beautiful earrings that I bought in Poland? I got these from a little street stall which was open even though it was snowing and freezing! I Love the colours of these precious earrings of mine - do you like them too?
I modeled them on a little Russian doll, which may seem a bit silly but I thought it was really pretty x
Dogeared Create - A new love of mine.
Finding a new designer or brand that you love is always very exciting and excited is how I felt when I found my new love, Dogeared Create. This is a brand that focuses on the themes love, karma, wishes and healing - how lovely. I don't find their designs cheesy at all, as I am aware some people might, I think they balance beauty, sentimentality and emotion perfectly. I realise that perhaps they are playing on a marketing tool but honestly it is a tool that is perfect for what people want. I am in love.
Their fabulous little pieces are perfect for meaningful gifts for family, friends and yourself. My favorite are the healing gem necklaces as they use actual gemstones but they also have very sweet silver and gold jewellery. Have a look at their website and my favorite picks below, http://www.dogeared.com

This Olive Quartz necklace would be my choice, I love the colour of the gemstone and the meaning of the gem is very lovely too.
I always love Turquoise! This little briolette is soooo pretty.
I am a huge fan of hoop earrings and I think these Always Beautiful Sparkle Hoops below are wonderful.
Enjoy x
I know a few girls who would love this Yesterday Tomorrow and Forever necklace.
Bangles are so fabulous and these in particular are very fabulous and so dainty.
Perfect friendship gift below x
