One of Dubai's Jewellery Stalls

I was walking through Dubai's Ibn Battuta Mall the other evening, on my way to the cinema, and was taken off course by one of the jewellery stalls (it happens a lot). I loved all the beads hanging there, waiting for someone to turn them into a beautiful piece of jewellery and then sat at the end of the stall was the girl who runs it , beading and making her own designs - how lovely to see.

Look at all those pearls and turquoise!

Dubai started off as a Pearl port but has since moved on from that, now it is mainly the Filipinos who bring pearls into the country, look at all of these. I love pink ones!

Here is the girl making the jewellery - I was slightly jealous of her.
